We had two rooms here in early May. The rates are a bit steep, but that appears to be par for Amsterdam. Both rooms were clean and comfortable. One overlooked the canal and it was a nice view. When you leave a door hanger saying to skip cleaning that day, they leave a 10 Euro voucher for the bar and restaurant. They only did it for one of the two rooms each day. Curious. The staff were all polite and helpful. The breakfast is quite good.

My husband and I stayed here for three nights and loved everything about the hotel. The interior is stunning, the rooms are very well-appointed and spacious, and all the staff were friendly and helpful. There are numerous seating areas throughout and we especially enjoyed sitting in front of the fireplace near the bar and watching the sunset from the outdoor deck. The location is terrific, just a short walk from the Museum Quarter and the vibrant neighborhood of De Pijp. The king sized bed was very comfortable and a nice bonus was having extra seating including a reading chair, and a dining/workspace table with two chairs. Our room had ample storage space, a mini-fridge, safe, hairdryer, and coffee machine. As a nice surprise, we were upgraded to a canal view room at check-in. Special thanks to Lydia at reception for her excellent service during our stay! This was our first time staying at this hotel and we will book here again for future trips to Amsterdam.

Loved it! The room was comfortable, clean, and groove retro furnishing. Good view, great location-short walk to all the good things, food service in all restaurants was delicious and efficient. Peking duck was a standout. Drawback- room did not have enough light and there was too much furniture. Really, unless you opened shades to get full sunlight, you couldn’t see to work, read, or do your makeup. But I would stay there again.

Beautiful view in the hotelroom you can watch over the canals , staff was excellent and the food was super. The restaurant was a real experience with nice food and great staff. After a really nice sleep with a really nice bed the breakfast was more than enough with a lot of variation of food.
